Cover Reveal: Dawn of Vengeance by Ronie Kendig - Waiting on Wednesday

I'm honored to be part of Ronie Kendig's cover reveal for Dawn of Vengeance, her highly anticipated sequel to her debut sci-fi novel, Brand of Light.

"Waiting on Wednesday"/"Can't Wait Wednesday" is a weekly meme now hosted by Wishful Endings, where you feature a yet-to-be-released title you're anticipating!

Title: Dawn of Vengeance [The Droseran Saga #2
Author: Ronie Kendig
Release Date: December 8, 2020

About the Book:
"A haunting prophecy upended his identity. Now it demands his life.

Once a formidable bounty hunter, Marco Dusan is plagued by insecurity as he tours the realm he now rules. This quiet, backwater planet is not as untouched as he’d once thought. Evidence of collusion between Droseran factions and the powerful Symmachians with their forbidden technology litters his encounters. Worse, all signs indicate Xisya, the alien who tortured him, is still snatching Kynigos Brethren—but to what end?

Corporal Eija Zacdari works hard to win a coveted place on the Symmachian hyperjump program, but instinct tells her their intel is flawed. Despite nearly failing the tests, she is assigned to the team—and lands in the middle of a bewildering conspiracy.

Haunted by a prophecy that promises pain and war, Marco forges alliances to protect the primitive world against Symmachia’s devastating influence. But one truth becomes painfully clear: the biggest threat to their world may be much, much closer to home."

Why I'm WoW about Dawn of Vengeance:
Ronie is an established author of Christian Romantic Suspense, especially in the military themed sub-genre, but I never got around to reading her work until I got a chance to review the first book in this series, Brand of Light last year. As a Star Wars/Star Trek/Stargate SG-1 fangirl, I found it thoroughly amazing BUT THERE WAS SUCH A CLIFFHANGER. It was even worse for me because for some reason I missed the fact that this is a trilogy and was innocently believing it was a stand alone novel until I was about 3/4ths of the way through ... LOL. December seriously can't come soon enough. All the Ronie Kendig hype is real, everyone. I immediately bought her already completed Abassia's Fire trilogy because I adore epic fantasy (hoping to finally read it during our library's Summer Reading Program).

Also, look at the gorgeous cover! Graphic designer Kirk DouPonce and Enclave Publishing have been hitting it out of the park lately with their cover art designs that are rivaling larger speculative fiction publishers.  Marco looks great and I'm also anticipating finding more about Eija as well.

What are some books you're looking forward to in the second half of 2020?

  1. This sound like a great trilogy! I hate cliffhangers with a passion, although I do not mind them as much when I have the next book on hand. I hope this second book is as good as the first!

    1. I have high hopes due to Ronie Kendig's high reputation as an author. I usually get over cliffhangers with time, but I do bitterly hate them in the moment if I have to wait --you're spot on that it isn't too bad if the next book is already out. Thanks for stopping by!
